Keystone Village claims the largest groomed ice skating
area in North America -- 5 acres right in the center of the village
complex. We don't know if that claim holds but anyone who moves 15
feet of snow off to the side deserves considerable credit for the largest
something!
The lake is located little more than a half mile from
Tenderfoot Lodge, down a pedestrian way and the roadway reserved for
the ski shuttle. So a skating party can be put together quickly
while parents are deciding whether a full day on the slopes is appropriate.
