| Sapphire Point is the easiest stroll-with-a-view in Summit County.
The Point is an overlook 500' above Lake Dillon. The trail itself
has no elevation change and, at least as far as Sapphire Point, is easily
negotiated by wheelchair hikers. Other vistas are of the Gore Range,
the Williams Fork Range, Dillon, Tenderfoot Mountain, Keystone, and the
Continental Divide at its highest points.
From a parking lot on the Swan Mountain Road the trail loops around a forested hill for 3/4ths of a mile. |
