Around Tenderfoot Lodge

Tenderfoot Lodge is one of the newest buildings in the Mountain House
liftside community at Keystone Mountain. Two nearby pedesrian
bridges connect it to the ski lifts. We are actually much closer
to the skiing action than any of the rentals at Keystone Resort itself.
The bicycle path lies at the foot of the building. The new River Run complex is easy to reach by car or bike path. |

We hestitate comment on the joys of autumn at Tenderfoot Lodge.
That's our season. Fewer people. Excellent weather. Aspens
turning...
Winter starts early. Skiing
starts earlier. Keystone opens for skiing in October. By
Thanksgiving its extensive snowmaking capability will have blanketed
the Keystone front side slopes even if other ski resorts in the Central
Rockies are struggling to open.

We like the eclectic feel of Tenderfoot Lodge. The angles and
twists and turns give the Lodge its 'western lodge' feel. They
invite visual exploration. The scale is comfortable and the location
ideal. One is neither isolated from the action nor buried in it.
